ARTIST PROFILE

Anna Kulseth is an amateur painter and artist living in suburban Chicago with her husband and young daughter. A fundraiser for a living and a life-long runner, Kulseth has been a recreational artist since grade school.

Early on, limited space and time prevented Kulseth from pursuing painting as often as she would have liked. In 2017, Kulseth was finally able to dedicate space in her home to the hobby she now shares with her daughter. As a result, her painting began to flourish, exploring new styles, techniques and mediums.

Though still new to most mediums and techniques, Kulseth's inspiration remains in her life experiences. Like everyone, Kulseth has experienced highs and lows in life. She believes very strongly that the ugliest life experiences produce the most beautiful personal growth and evolution. It is in this life evolution that she finds her most poignant inspiration.

Kulseth has a bachelor's degree and a master's degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, neither in art.

"Others have seen what is and ask why.

I have seen what could be and asked why not."
